Short day today but with a lot of effort as we have the 21 heavy locks in the Hatton flight to do. Set of at 1000 through the very wet Shrewley tunnel. A unique tunnel as it has its own horse towing tunnel running parallel but at a higher level (See photo below)
Joanne did the 21 locks spread out over one and half miles. Better than a workout! We passed what appeared to be Irish Adventure scouts on six boats coming up the flight which helped.
5 locks from the bottom a hire boat crew asked in all seriousness if they were near the top yet. Moored outside Cape of Good Hope, Warwick, at 1500 for a pint of real ale later.
